Patrick McKinnon Joins Pilchuck as Hospital Manager

Published on July 18, 2017

Pilchuck is happy to welcome Patrick McKinnon as our new hospital manager. He looks forward to meeting PVH clients and hearing from you how we can best meet your needs. Get to know a little more about Patrick in this short Q&A.

What were you doing before joining Pilchuck?
Before PVH, I was the director for field operations at Quest Diagnostics. It was only intended to be short term, as I was with Pet’s Choice Veterinary Hospitals before and wanted to stay in the veterinary profession. But one challenge after another kept me there seven years (I really like challenging opportunities).

Do you have any animals of your own?
My wife Toni and I have always welcomed dogs into our family, and we currently enjoy an energetic 8-year-old Australian Shepherd who loves taking long walks and running in the off-leash areas whenever possible.

What are you looking forward to in this new position?
In the short term, I am looking forward to getting a few process implementations completed that will help us continue to be leaders in veterinary medicine. In the longer term, I’m looking forward to developing the kind of relationships that help us be partners in the overall health and well-being of our pets and animal friends.

What’s your hometown?
Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. However, not liking winter, Toni and I moved to Texas shortly after we were married. We vowed not to move back to the snow if we could help it.
