An evening of Cardiology Case Rounds with Board Certified Veterinary Cardiologist - William Rausch, DVM, DACVIM

June 27, 2012 6:30 PM

Dr. Rausch will spend about an hour and a half going through some common cardiology cases. He will go over each cases clinical history and physical examination, auscultation and radiographs. He will also discuss additional diagnostics that can add value in cardiac case management – blood pressure, NT pro BNP, ECG, and echocardiogram.  His presentation will include incorporating staging of disease into appropriate diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. He will cover breed specifics, emergency treatment and when to echo. Each case will include throacic radiographs that Dr. Rausch will review to better understand normal canine thoracic radiography anatomy to help accurately diagnose and subsequently manage canine cardiology patients including the ability to assess cardiac size, identify vessel size, and comment on the presence or absence of cardiac remodeling.

Please bring your own Cardiac cases to share.

There will be 30 minutes at the end of his presentation to share your cases with Dr. Rausch and get his feedback.

Dinner will be provided and catered by Ruth Chris Steak House.
