Originally from England, Dr. Fehr is a 1993 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at the Young-Crawford Clinic in Alberta, Canada, followed by a surgical residency at Colorado State University. After becoming a board-certified surgeon, Dr. Fehr stayed on at CSU for another year as an emergency clinician before going into private practice in Alberta, Canada, in 1998.

Since joining Pilchuck’s large-animal staff in 2000, Dr. Fehr has become very involved in the medical and surgical treatment of llamas and alpacas, as well as in her areas of special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of colic and laminitis. In 2008, she changed positions to provide full-time emergency coverage for the equine hospital.

Dr. Fehr has had a long-term interest in integrative medicine and has recently invested in this specialty by becoming a Certified Veterinary Chiropractor. After years of treating some of the most difficult lameness and general health cases, she is excited to incorporate this avenue of evaluation and treatment for both large- and small-animal patients.

During the transition, Dr. Fehr will be available for chiropractic appointments for both horses and small animals ... and any animal in between!
