About the Presenter:
Dennis E. Brooks, DVM, PhD, DACVO, is a 1980 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He passed the certifying examination of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 1984. Dr. Brooks received a PhD in 1987 from the University of Florida. He is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida. Dr. Brooks has lectured extensively, nationally and internationally, in comparative ophthalmology, and has over 140 refereed publications. He is a recognized authority on infectious keratitis, corneal transplantation and glaucoma of horses, dogs and other animals. Dr. Brooks was the President of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists from 1997 to 1998. His first book, Equine Ophthalmology, was published in 2008, and a new book, Assessment Color Review of Small Animal Ophthalmology, came out in 2010.
