Joe Musielak, DVM

Dr. Musielak graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. After working in mixed practice for nine years, he decided to focus his career on emergency medicine. He became a staff veterinarian for Pilchuck’s small animal emergency department in 2003, and has a special interest in transfusion medicine and surgery. He has since organized and processed donors for a small animal blood bank at Pilchuck to enhance the emergency services provided. Dr. Joe, as he prefers to be called, is an active member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Away from Pilchuck, he enjoys spending time with his partner, two dogs, and three cats. He may be found hiking, gardening, watching movies, or walking by the ocean with his digital camera close at hand.
