Jeffrey F. Duke, DVM
Dr. Duke grew up in McMinnville, Oregon, and received his
veterinary degree from Oregon State University in 1984. He
joined Pilchuck the same year as a large animal veterinarian, but
by 1987 had decided to dedicate his practice exclusively to small
animals. Dr. Duke’s areas of special interest are surgery, both soft
tissue and orthopedic, and small animal reproduction. He was
instrumental in Pilchuck’s addition of laser surgery technology
in 2001. In 2004, Dr. Duke received the AAHA Waltham
Award for contributions made in small animal veterinary
medicine outside of the United States, in recognition of his
four trips to Mongolia to provide hands-on training and
resources for veterinarians there. He is active in his church,
enjoys riding his street bike on sunny days, traveling, and boating
with his family

Timothy D. John, DVM
It was while working for his family veterinarian in the San
Francisco Bay area that Dr. John decided to pursue a career in
veterinary medicine. He attended Oregon State University, receiving
his veterinary degree in 1990, and joined Pilchuck as a
small animal practitioner the same year. Dr. John’s special interests
are internal medicine and cancer therapy. He is known for
his easygoing nature and good humor. Though serious about
medicine, Dr. John is a prankster at heart, and not above providing
well-timed comic relief for his staff. His time away from the
hospital is spent with his wife, two children, and the animals that
make up their “farmette” - three horses, three dogs, two cats, and
eight chickens. He also enjoys camping and fishing.

Taylor Wallace, DVM

By the age of three, Dr. Wallace knew she wanted to become a veterinarian.
Throughout her childhood in Seattle she "saved" many a pet,
and
at
age
twelve started working in a veterinary hospital. Dr. Wallace attended Washington State University, receiving her veterinary degree from WSU's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She joined Pilchuck's team of small animal practitioners in January 2007. Dr. Wallace enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but finds challenging and difficult internal medicine cases especially exciting. Besides work, Dr. Wallace enjoys volunteering, traveling, hiking and scuba. If you see her outside of the hospital, you might think that you're seeing double as she frequently shares these adventures with her identical twin sister, Robin. Dr. Wallace has always liked the diversity of city living and currently shares her Capital Hill home in Seattle with two "fabulous" cats, Russell and Owen.

Kevin Wilson, DVM
Dr. Wilson, another Oregon native, says it wasn’t quite divine
intervention that led him to become a veterinarian, but rather a
nagging voice in the back of his head telling him that it was
what he was supposed to do with his life. He completed his veterinary
degree at Oregon State University, College of Veterinary
Medicine in 2001, and joined Pilchuck’s staff of small animal
practitioners shortly thereafter. While working on an undergraduate
degree in Animal Science, he traveled to Senegal, Africa, to
provide veterinary herd management for the tribes of the Sahel
Region. Dr Wilson’s interest in wellness programs has been a
driving force from the outset of his veterinary career. His special
interests at Pilchuck include dentistry and soft tissue surgery,
with a focus on disease prevention and pain management. Dr.
Wilson is an avid runner who enjoys distance racing. His best
canine friend is, of course, a Greyhound.
